Springtime: Allergies, Events, & Frequent Flier Miles

I adore springtime in the vineyard. Sonoma County sparkles iridescent green, featuring vineyards carpeted with growing verdant shoots and the promise of fall harvest. It’s also a busy sales/travel season for me. I’m lucky to be invited to pour in many cities, so here’s a round-up detailing Where in the World is Bruliam Wines.

If you’re thirsty and available, I hope to see your smile in the weeks ahead.

Diving into The Land of 10,000 Lakes

I’ll be pouring at the Minnesota Wine Fest May 9-10, 2025. Look for rose, pinot, and zin at the Friday Night Grand Tasting. Fan of library wines? I’ll be pouring 2018 Heintz Vineyard Chardonnay from magnum on Saturday, at the Vintage Tasting. [insert emoji for mic drop].

Showing Off in the Show-Me State

Calling all foodies, hipsters, and epicurean gastronomes. It’s a coup to collaborate in a winemaker dinner at Vicia in Saint Louis, MO. Their motto is “Seasonally driven; locally inspired.” Their menu is divine. Don’t take my word for it. Vicia is a James Beard nominee, a prize that rivals their mention in the NYT. My winemaker dinner is scheduled for Thursday, May 15th. You can reserve a seat here.

Blowing Through some “Mighty Cool Pinot”

I’ve plugged the annual Sun, Wind, and Wine annual SLH gala in years past. If you’ve attended, you know why. Featuring 40 wineries, 100+ wines, and over 20 food purveyors, this event is chef’s kiss. The wine is magnificent. If you don’t believe me, check out Virginie Boone’s recent write up of spectacular SLH wines in Jeb Dunnuck.  Now pair these winners with extraordinary food. [No, that wasn’t me inhaling all four flavors of artisan cheesecake. That was a different brown-haired girl]. The crowd is friendly, winery principals staff each table, and shuttle service is available to/from the venue. [No that wasn’t me elbowing my way to the front of the caviar station. That was a different brown-haired girl]. If you love wines with terroir and sampling the bestest bites, check out the SLH annual gala. Who knows? I may pour sneak peeks of the not-yet-released 2023 Soberanes.

P.S. Are you a young wine lover, under 35 (but over 21)? Check out the SLH Young Vines Pass which offers a special discounted ticket price for our youngest Millennials and elder Zoomers. Through 4/26/25, use code BRULIAM for a 10% discount on all tickets.

THINK PINK; DRINK PINK

Barndiva’s annual Pink Party celebrates all things Pinkalicious. Featuring over 30 roses among the fragrant blooms of BarnDiva’s magical garden space, prepare for a parade of pink. Dress in pink. Drink pink. Toast pink. Think pink. Join the rose revolution on May 4th.

Living la Vida Local at Grand Cru

Friday, May 23 – Sip & Savor

Here’s to trying new things: our first Friday night event, our first bites of API Hot Chicken, and spontaneity. Walk-ins are welcome! [There I said it. I pretended to be your go-to, extemporaneous, off-the-cuff, freewheeling gal]. This low-key, walk around tasting features Bruliam sips as well as pours from our pals at Bucher, Parea Wines, and Copper Six. But if you know anything about me, you know I am a classic, oldest child, over-achieving, Type A control freak. So, please consider reserving a ticket in advance.  Your $20 ticket entitles you to tasting two wines/winery with the API Hot Chicken food truck on site and accepting orders. This event is friendly, casual, and accessible. If you know young people who are just embarking on their wine journey; or young people who are wine curious; or young people who feel intimidated by wine, PLEASE share this link. The “Sip and Savor” program is designed for their palates & pleasure.

Grand Cru Summertime Marketplace

Join me on June 22, 2025 to celebrate our annual summertime marketplace. This Grand Cru event features 10+ wineries, artisan food vendors, handcrafted treats, and multiple food trucks. If you’re planner, get your tickets here.

If you want to taste with me, book your experience here. If you want to see my first scores of from the highly anticipated 2023 vintage, you can click here. Or I can save you the trouble of opening a new window on your browser and share I scored a pair of 93’s. Woohoo!

As I do more/travel more, I’ll try to update this post to reflect new opportunities to join Bruliam on the road and in the winery.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Your support makes all of this possible. And the possibilities are thrilling. Happy Spring.
