Virtual Baking and Tasting

I want to thank everyone who attended any or all of our Bruliam Wines Virtual Tasting Experiences. It’s hard to believe that yesterday’s biscotti baking session marked the 6th and final installment in our inaugural, weekly tasting calendar. Yup, our first online event kicked off March 25, which seems like forever ago, doesn’t it?.

If you missed yesterday’s live event, you can watch the video replay below (click here if the video doesn’t work) and access the biscotti recipe by clicking here:

Although Zoom is no substitute for seeing you in person, I have absolutely enjoyed each week - collecting pictures, sharing anecdotes, and sweating through last minute software snafus. Connecting with each of you, via Zoom, email, text, or old-fashioned telephone, has been a true pick-me-up and an antidote to these past, dark weeks. If you live in a state that is opening up, I know you’ll cherish a bit more mobility in your daily routine. Here in Sonoma County, our trade organization, Sonoma County Vintners, is working alongside county and state officials to guide us through reopening our tasting rooms safely, as soon as possible. Luckily for us, each of our Grand Cru tasting lounges is an individual, private room, which will serve us well. I have ordered some wine-themed fabric from eBay and hope to greet each of you wearing a festive, wine print mask! (Note: my baking skills far exceed my subpar sewing credentials).

In the weeks ahead, please, please continue sending me pictures and emails and texts. I love hearing from everyone. And since the virtual events have been so successful, I fully expect to continue them going forward. Our virtual seminars will remain a complimentary feature for you, our allocation list members. Plus, it’s especially fun to see everyone outside of California. If you have suggestions for topics, please send me an email or text.

At the beginning of the quarantine, we opened up our online store for re-orders and gift orders, and we intend to keep it open through the end of May. Simply click here to place an order. We also have renewed your opportunity to send "essential" gift packages to appreciative friends and family who remain at home. If you order a gift package of 4 bottles for someone else, we’ll build on that order with two additional bottles of the 2019 Rose of Pinot Noir, making it a 6-pack.

In early June, we’ll be rolling out a special release that will include large formats and older vintages. Please be on the lookout for that email announcement.

Until then - Be well. Stay well. Drink well.
